Acne Treatment

Acne occurs when sebum is unable to leave the skin because a hair follicle is blocked. This may result in a growth of bacteria below the surface of the skin. Inflammation can occur, and rupture of an inflamed area can lead to scarring.

Ellipse IPL/ Laser is safe and effective and  clinically proven to accelerate the healing process for acne clearance following use of prescription medication.

How does the Ellipse I²PL treatment work on acne?

The Ellipse acne removal machine treatment works by directing pulses of blue light into the epidermis. The light is absorbed by the haemoglobin in the blood vessels that feed the sebaceous glands.

Haemoglobin converts the light energy into heat, which damages the walls of the vessels supplying blood to the glands. This technique is called “Selective Photothermolysis”.

The visible light produced by the Ellipse I²PL systems is carefully controlled to produce the correct pulse length and wavelengths to reduce the acne without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Ellipse IPL /Laser acne clearance is a treatment solution for spots, and acne. Acne-prone skin can be pitted, sensitive, large pores, and also suffer from redness and blemishes. Acne can affect men and women and be found on the face, neck, chest, nose, chin and the back. It is common for teenagers and adults. There are various treatments available and typically customers will visit a dermatologist for advice, the NHS also offers support. The Ellipse treatment offers a fast solution with no scarring, it is a non-surgical solution that delivers fast results without any skin discolouration or hyperpigmentation. Treatment times are about 45 minutes and a course of treatment is necessary.
